Untap your highest potential with Physical Therapy and Yoga. Karen Church, PT, CFMT, specializes in Functional Manual Therapy™ an approach developed by the Institute of Physical Art (IPA). Individualized treatment integrates soft tissue and joint mobilization combined with neuromuscular retraining. Customized exercises are prescribed to accelerate recovery from injury or surgery, to correct muscle imbalances, and optimize alignment and efficient movement. Emphasis on function, sports performance and injury prevention. Community Classes are offered at the Providence Apothecary and Holistic Center and at the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool.

Karen is a teacher, photographer and author of Therapeutic Yoga. She teaches Wisdom Warriors, a 12 hour workshop training, with nationally acclaimed yoga instructor Desirée Rumbaugh.

Karen Church was born in Canada and graduated from the University of Toronto in 1989 with a B.Sc. in Physiotherapy. She also holds a B.A. in Physical and Health Education with a minor in Sport Psychology from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. She studied Human Movement in 1985 at Carnegie University in Leeds, England. Yoga background: Karen studied with numerous senior Iyengar teachers beginning in 1993 and became an Affiliated Anusara Instructor in 2004. She is a passionate about Ayurveda and avid student of Dr. Robert Svoboda.
